Getting your landline set up to send and receive text messages is a painless process that is handled entirely by us. This allows us to handle your business text messaging while the phone company handles the voice. Because voice and text are 2 completely separate functions, they work independently from each other. All landlines are voice-enabled however most don't do anything with their ability to send or receive text messages. Phone numbers support 2 things… voice and text. Notifications can be muted for specific apps, so check the app list in the notifications settings screen.Enabling a landline for texting is really simple. Notifications - If you aren't receiving notifications, check Settings > Notifications and make sure notifications are turned on.Other messaging apps - Make sure other messaging app settings (e.g., Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.) are correct and the person receiving the message knows which app you're using.Settings > Sound & vibration, or Settings > Sound.Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb.Depending on your phone, settings may be in: ![]() Do Not Disturb - If you're not notified about text messages you get, your phone may be in Do Not Disturb mode.To help avoid performance issues, always install updates on your device when notified. ![]()
